Sir, a while back, you requested the status of the Garden Tractor Garage Plans (#118) I had obtained from your firm in March of 2002. I am pleased to report that it was completed last summer (2003) and we are very happy with the results. I did make some changes, but the plan is versatile and survived in tact.
Plan Changes: I wanted to create a vinyl sided building, that would be used for storage, or for a small rear office (10'X12') and similar storage, also the riding lawn mower, and one in which the office might be air conditioned if needed. To get there, we went with a stretched 12' X 20' design. Another use was as a shop, so a lot of outlets were used. One of the three windows (Center) was removed from the plan to allow for shelves. The small windows on the upper side are used only for light and do not open. That wall is used for storage racks and garden tools. Construction was to average quality; it has insulated single hung windows; a roof ridge vent ( necessary in the South) 110 and 220 power and because we severed the telephone line putting in the foundation, it now has a telephone. Construction: It was built by a local contractor, with a small team. From pouring the concrete to completion took just over 30 days. As the structure occupies an area near the garden, we are in the process of including it into that landscape plan. It has elicited many favorable compliments.
